East Lancashire Road Club & Rochdale CTC

Safeguarding & protecting children

Everyone that participates in cycling is entitled to do so in a safe and enjoyable environment. The Rochdale CTC and East Lancs Road Club follow these principles.

We take safeguarding and protecting children seriously and follow the British Cycling policy which can be downloaded from this link SAFEGUARDING

A young persons guide to child protection is available HERE.

Information for parents can be found HERE.

Parents and riders should familiarise themselves with our Club Run rules and ID requirements by reading the documents on the Club Runs page.

The Club has appointed a Welfare Officer. Walter Stansfield currently holds this office and can be contacted by email at welfareofficer@eastlancsroadclub.org.uk.

Any concerns regarding the welfare of members under the age of 18 can be made directly to the Welfare Officer. Heather has undertaken a Sports Coach UK Safeguarding & Protecting Children course and holds a enhanced DBS check.
